After a sold-out launch event, the Virtual Worlds Salon is back in March, held at The Hospital in London's Covent Garden.
We had over a hundred participants last week, from all over Europe and the US, as well as UK virtual worlds stalwarts - check out the photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/sashinkauk/sets/72157604049046494/
This month, we''ll also be informally looking at the idea of narrative, key to virtual worlds and MMOs, and with a performance from artist Rhiannon Armstrong of the International Archive of Things Left Unsaid.
Covent Garden has long been a popular area for creative thinking,
entrepreneurship and entertainment, core values of our Strategic
Partner, The Hospital. Based on the site of an 18th Century hospital,
London’s pre-eminent centre for the creative
and media communities is set over 7 floors, and home to a Private
Members Club with
several bars and lounges, a Gallery, TV & Music recording studios.
The perfect setting for relaxed drinks and networking, the Virtual Worlds Salon is a great opportunity to meet European virtual worldists, and all those exploring how virtual worlds can interface with social networking, games and MMOs, for drinks and conversation in a laid-back atmosphere.
This is an invitiation-only event, and you need to be on the guest list to guarantee entrance. Our parties are pretty popular, and the last salon sold-out in 90 minutes, and there's a limited guest list, so sign up now to ensure your place.
See you on the 19th.
The Virtual Economic Forum is a media company and think-tank delivering events, online content and networking to the virtual worlds and MMO community. We're the people who brought you the Virtual Worlds Forum in 2007, and have great plans for 2008.
